However the technique of writing an article with good content and which gets found by users using search engines needs to be followed carefully before you can expect this.
1. Pick the keyword that’s right for your article so that your articles are found in searches (If you’re not sure how to do this, take a look at my article on keyword research).
2. Put the keyword in the title and in two per cent of your article (usually three time throughout the whole of the article). It’s good to have the keyword in the first paragraph as well.
3. Write articles that are read! As obvious as that sounds a lot of people don’t do this. On the internet people don’t read every word they scan whole paragraphs. Studies have shown that; if a user isn’t interested in what they are looking at after eight seconds they move onto another page. You have eight seconds to grab their attention!
4. Write in short, sharp sentences that keep the reader’s attention. This way they’ll want to finish your article before clicking any links.
5. Have sentences that flow onto each other so the reader will feel the need to keep reading. Ideally if the sentences are easy and fast to read the user will not mind taking the time to read your article.
6. Divide your article up into paragraphs or points (online seven points usually works well so you see seven points here).
7. Make sure to put your articles on the top article sites. These include; Ezinearticles, Articlebase and Searchwarp. Have a look around for any good article sites specific to your niche and submit to them as well.
